Holy CRAP! UNFLIPPINBELIEVABLE!!
Did you feel it…hear it, when my jaw hit my desk???? I just looked up my calories for yesterday…it’s a guess on a couple things…but my aprox calories for yesterday was…3245! Oh…it gets worse. This was “better” than I have been lately…or so I thought. Just the chicken portion of my dinner out last night was 1180 calories! 69g of fat…2440g of sodium!!! OH MY GOSH! I can NOT believe I chose the HIGHEST calorie chicken dish! It goes to show what I was saying in my last blog…I NEED A BACKUP PLAN! This confirms it completely.
***As I was typing this…my daughter called…asked me if I wanted a brownie from Chick-Fil-A! Ahhhhhh! I said no…I hesitated but I said no thank you!***
Ok…so have you ever had a moment that you feel WIDE AWAKE? Like someone just threw an igloo cooler of ice water down your back and your eyes are as big as they can open??? That’s me right now. I cant stop shaking my head…OH MY GOSH!
Time to get busy and burn some calories by scrubbing some floors…CRAP!
There are plenty of places that post calories, takes little time to check up on the content so you know what to order. Worst ones though are the little non-chain places, they rarely quotet.

Yeah…it was last minute…didnt know we were doing the dinner to plan ahead and I let hunger get me. It was Longhorn Steakhouse and they do have the menu online…just didnt know in time…I definatly would have made a different choice.
WoW I am not going to sugar coat that one. That is alot of calories:) It’s good you realized it and now can pay better attention. Good Luck to you. It takes awhile to get everything on track but you can do it.

Planning ahead when you can helps so much
I’ve gotten to know which restaurants I can safely eat at and which menu items are good and fit into my plan.
Oh well it’s done now, live and learn right?
Well, lesson learned. I find it amazing how many calories are in things. I agree, planning ahead is the best way to avoid it.
Yeah, it is really scary the damage that can be done by eating out. I almost got a blizzard one day (long ago) and got curious of the calorie count–1700 calories for one of those that I wanted!!! Holy cow!!
You know what, if that opened your eyes and got you going—then, it was a good deal!! (ducks the poisoned looks i might get from everyone for saying that lmao)

I know what you mean, I’ll log my food and not even eat bad and somehow get up to 1800 cals if I don’t watch it….it’s annoying!
wow that sux. I know the surprise gotcha feeling. I’ll bet that the things i eat when I eat out that are supposed to be reasonably healthy would not make the Biggest Loser top 10 list of things to eat. In the movie Supersize Me, one of the things that was really interesting was that even McDonalds salads have almost as much fat and calories, after adding the dressing, as any of their other fast food items. kinda scary.
