Put Down That Donut Tina! I did it…
…I walked 35 minutes last night. The guilt trips worked…thank you! I know I need to do this for me but for right now, I just need that extra shove to get moving again. So thank you all for the loving push!
After dinner last night the kids and I watched
Madagascar 2 (very cute) and then I got on the treadmill. The movie went longer than I had planned so if I hadn’t asked for help I know I would have bailed on the exercise.
I got a little over enthused and decided to try one of the preset programs on my treadmill…Runners Challenge…heeheehee. Lets just say that after the first 10 minutes I realized that there was not a warm-up portion included in it. Had to stop it and just start my own walk. I did keep my pace up pretty far for the remainder but then allowed extra cool down at the end. I was hurting a little (shins, heels and hips) so I did not push for 2 mile. I did get 1.75 in though and 35 minutes…so mission completed.
Tried to get on my computer to celebrate my victory and my keyboard flaked…it was wireless and was recognizing the mouse but not the keyboard. Found an old wired one this morning and finally got it to work. Now Im getting used to a different feel and there will be typos galore today on any comments I leave…so beware if you cant figure what the heck I mean by kjfpwjfmsppjk…LOL! Its one of those loud ones where it drowns out your thoughts because the keys are so noisy…Hahaha! Really!
Oh…went to doctors yesterday…he thinks my son is fine…nothing he can see but said if it continues we would try antibiotic. Don’t want that so just continuing with Advil and loose boxers :) I also had my blood pressure checked because my prescription is almost out. It was real good and he lowered it. But the best thing is he gave me 3 ½ months of BP meds FREE! That stuff cost me $112.99 for 30 days! Thank you Lord!
So thank you again my Boot Kicker Buddies! You got me off my fat behind and on the treadmill. How about today? Ashley are we on again?? Christy?? Anyone else??
I love that movie!
Great work on that treadmill Debbie. Keep it up….Your doing this for you and your new life ahead of you…(I finally caught up on some blogs!) I knew you’d get through everything ok. Leave the past behind and keep running! P.S. Glad your son is ok.
That’s brilliant news about the meds… you’re well on your way to getting healthy enough not to need them anymore… yeeeaaay for you.
And great news about the exercise. I only got to read your last blog this morning. Glad you got on the treadmill for 35 minutes. The hardest part is getting off the couch!
Yay!! You did it! So glad you were able to get yourself on that treadmill.
I bet Tina is glad too! lol I had to laugh when I saw her challenge to ya.
Ok, girl…i’ll be watching to see if ya get on that treadmill today!
Glad your son is alright and the doc gave you some free meds to help ya out.
love ya girl, debbie
Heck yeah we are on!! That is awesome that you got up and moved! I bet you felt wonderful! LOL about the preset on the treadmill, I’ve done that on my elliptical before and just about killed myself!
Ok, today is a new day. What ya got planned? I’ll be getting my walk in the afternoon, 3 miles and then a bike ride later. Come on, keep up, I dont want to have to break out the boots again, they give me blisters when I have to walk in them!
Hahaha! OK…how about today I will set my goal at 2.5 miles (remember, just getting back in on this) may push for 3 but definatly 2.5! I dont have a bike…I have a wonderful area for one but unless I get on my 12 y/o Harley bicycle…I’ll have to skip the biking
Yeah, take it nice and slow, build up slowly and you are more likely to stick with it long term. But 2.5 is nothing to sneeze at!
And I really think you need to take the bike out. Seriously. Just let me know the area and about what time. I’ll be there with my camera, uh I mean a water bottle cheering you on!
Excellent! Feel pretty good too don’t ya? Keep it up. I know you can do this.
Good news about your son too.
I am SO PROUD OF YOU! Heck ya we are still on! I almost gave up on my work out last night! My calves were on fire and my back kept screaming “Please no more” but I thought of you and kept pushing on! I finished Tae Bo (aka torture) and jumped rope and even threw some jumping jacks in there just to be safe! That is great news (your BP meds)…it is always nice to get samples from the dr. Mine once gave me a full year supply! I was so happy! That crap was about 140 a month, so she saved me tons of money! Anyway, you are going for 2.5 miles huh? You can do it! Yay! I love having a challenge buddy!!!
Great job on the treadmill! I am definitely on again today, feel very motivated and ready to get back to this 100%, and hoping to motivate others along my way!
Oh yea! Good news about your son!
Glad your son’s ok… lol, great thing to do with a single mom “I’ve got guy problems” the reverse for a daughter and single dad… imagine the days of school missed by that sentence, “but daddy, I have female trouble” LMAO
THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU for not making me eat 2 1/2 dozen donuts…. I’d have been puking all day, or maybe in sugar shock?? Or both…
Although, if you had gone 29 1/2 min, I wouldn’t have complained
hehe
You sound better… did you get my text last night? Get out that bike… I wanna see that! hehe
Have a great day!
Glad to hear things are good with your son. That alone reduces your stress level by 75% and cna make the world of difference in how you view the world at large and your little corner of the universe.
Staying motivated in HARD as hell! That is why we have to look for every little peice of silver lining in the dark clouds that shadow us frolm time to time on a regular basis. No matter how small that peice of silver may be it can play a vital role in our lives. So it helps to look at things on the slant, the view is different and sometimes you will be amazed at what you see and just how important you think some things are, are not as important.
Have a great day and a wonderful journey and know that we are always here if you need us. Just send up the “Batman Signal”, well actualy it is the “Donut Signal” but you understand the concept! LOL
OK…I’ll have to get a pic on the bike! Dont want Chris getting eaten by the farm dogs across the road as she lies in hiding to take my picture…haha!
Cant make Tina eat donuts
Tina…No, I did not get a text…I hate my phone…uh maybe I better make sure its paid…oops.
Glad we are on Ashley
Debbi, good job ! I don’t need and old keyboard to make a lot of typos , I’m just naturally not as talented on this key board as many of you LOL ! Keep up the good work ! I will exercise for an hour today are you up to that challenge LOL ? Thank you for your support on my blog hon ! I expect to read on your next blog that you exercised for at least 30 mins ! Hugs, Kimmi

Yah yah yah!! Great job with the walk and getting back to things. You are doing great DEBBIE!
Great job Deb, I knew you’d be back on track. I had a whale of a day, no wind so we burned brush all day. My knees, back and shoulders are SORE. I had to burn the equivalent of at least 2000 cal! Any one want to come help, it good exercise and it’s free. He he!
go you on the blood pressure!!!!!! awesome!
Awesome job
you may have taken a few kicks but it was you that did the work.
Bet it feels terrific?
YAY Debbi! Glad you got your walk in, enjoyed the cute movie and that your son is not serisouly ill! When I was 7 or so, I went through a stage when I was “always” sick. I wasnt really sick, I just wanted to stay home with my mommy… I eventually gre out of it and I betcha he will too. Maybe he wanted some extra attn from you but since he is a boy he is too afraid to seek it outright? Just a thought… Thinking of you often D!
That all sounds GREAT!!!! Good for you!
Go Deb for hopping on the treadmill doesn’t it leave you thinking “why was it a big deal to not get on it?” I always feel better after I got up and did some sort of workout I can’t ever figure out why I try to talk myself out of it. Our crazy minds.
I’m glad to here your son is ok and that’s awesome of your doc to get you those meds for free… I was told to always ask if they have samples to give out. I used to help a friend clean doctors offices and their shelves were stocked full of samples it was crazy!
