Me And My PLAAAAAAA-TEAU…

Accountability: Day 4

Me and my Plaaaaa-teau…Strolling through the barren field…Me and my plaaaaateau on my mind at EVERY meal!

If this weight doesn’t drop down soon, Im going to lose my ever-lovin’ mind. Some of the delay was due to my choices, but over all I have been doing what Im “supposed” to. Saturday is my Rockstar weigh-in, but Sunday is my official weigh day. So 3 more days to sweet talk this old body and that freakin’ scale into cooperating with my efforts. This time I have really been trying to focus on smaller chunks of weight loss at a time. But the longer I stay where I am, the more I start peering ahead, down the LONG road in front of me. I dont want to do that! It seems much more possible when I look at the next 5-10 pounds.

I did well again yesterday. Got 2 miles on the treadmill in the AM and even jogged just a little a couple times. Did 30 minutes on the Wii last night. And, I kept my food in check, had 1 point left over. I did get a little more in on the fruit/veggie side. Yay me :) Also got in my 112 ounces of water.

So today’s goals: Focus on more fruits/veggies and continuing to eat well. Get in step aerobics and boxing on Wii and another s miles on the treddie! Keep my chins up and accomplish more on legal issues.

Have a great day and GET UP and GET MOVING :)

i’ve read several articles recently in Oxygen magazine about why we plateau. Some things the articles mentioned is making sure we actually eat enough. I know for me I tell myself to eat “good” and sometimes that means not really eating much at all. The other suggestions the articles mentioned is getting enough sleep, but not too much; taking a day off completely to let your body rest and then hit it hard the next day; and the other good suggestion is change up your routine. Your body gets used to doing the same exact routine and then goes into autopilot mode instead of burning mode. We all get stuck but we can push past it. You can do it!! Keep up the hard work and you will be rewarded!

Thanks for the info :) Not enough sleep is a biggie for me right now. I think it caught up to me cause Im not feeling very good today…a little ill. Hoping it passes.
Got in 50 minutes on Wii so far…

Debbie, you know I wore the “Queen of Plateau” hat for 3 months in a row and even now. Don’t let it deter you from your goals - and I know it’s not. Just keep doing it girl. The accountability factor will pay off. I’m so proud of you for sticking to plan and just doing it.

    Great job!

It’s pretty much all said, but bears repeating… hang in there… it has to start back up sometime! I’ve had my 2 bumps on the road too, both lasted a month, yuck!

Plateaus suck! I think everyone else has given you great advice, so I don’t have anything more to add. Just wanted to show you some support though. :)

hang in there chickie! You will bust through - it just takes time sometimes. I think you are right in concentrating on small amounts of weight at a time…that is what I have to do …otherwise I get overwhelms…5-10 lbs at a time….slow and steady wins the race (I know I say that to everyone…but I BELIEVE it!!…LOL)

My first question is how much water do you drink?
I upped mine to 90 oz and the weight dropped. Hang in there and mix up the workouts too. It will come off.

Hey sweetie, don’t get discouraged, these things will get you if they can. I swear I have a bad “troll” that lives inside my scale and keeps his foot on it when I weigh in. Be like Little Orphan Annie–you know–things will be better tomorrow. Hang in there.
