Showdown In My Closet

There was a showdown in my closet this morning, and it wasn’t pretty! Me vs. Clothes. I was still waking up. Im not a morning person so this takes some time. The pants were to loose (I lost about 25 pounds since last summer). I began digging thru my clothes. The showdown had begun. One pair of loose pants, 15 pair of too tight pants. After 10 minutes I left my closet with my sides buldging over my very snug waistband feeling low and defeated.  I fought my closet and my closet won…this time.

Hey…at least you got them on!!! And there were loose ones…
I tried to put on some jeans I used to wear all the time…and alas…the dun-lop was just too much to cover…so I folded them and put them back!
    Next time you will win!

haha, saddle up! There’s gonna be a showdown. I have 2 pairs of pants in circulation right now (not including my ever-so-faithful sweatpants) and 4 shirts. I commend you on your battle!

I had the same battle last Friday =) All my decent clothes are too tight right now (let me rephrase, I can’t even pull my pants over my thighs, so it’s beyond too tight!). But you’ll defeat that darn closet. You can do it!

I’m having the same battle too. I’m living in stretchy gym shorts right now :) It will get better!

If you have a good used clothing place nearby that’s reasonable , go get some stuff that fits. You feel better about yourself when your clothes fit well. Not too much , but a few pieces. Everytime you go down a size or two, get a few things that fit, and pack up and donate the big stuff. I go to Frenchys up here and you can get a lot of stuff for next to nothing. It’s such a waste of money to buy new stuff when you’re on this journey, and who can afford it! I found it is really good for my self esteem to stop wearing the baggy pants. I call them my clown pants because that’s what they feel like when I put them on. Maybe keep one pair…and not to wear , but to see where you’ve been and how far you’ve come. Those tight ones will be falling off your skinny butt in no time! :)

It’s only round one right? I’m going to be facing the same kind of show down as soon as I pull my summer clothes out of storage. I weigh less than I did last year, but that doesn’t mean the stuff will fit. Does trying to fit into too tight clothes (and get back out?) qualify as a work out?
